Futuristic Rhythms

FUTURISTIC RHYTHMS  are inspired by the patterns, colors and movements of the Mississippi River.  The geometry in these patterns is referenced from two sound evoking sources. MBOOM, the Kuba creation myth, applies interlocking rectangles in compositions expressing an explosion of infinite change. The word MBOOM alludes to the sound/action we call The Big Bang.  Titles such as Futuristic Rhythms, Davenport Blues reference musical compositions by Bix Beiderbecke who may also have been impressed by rhythms, movements and patterns of change along the Mississippi River in Scott County where he was born.
